For many ferals are the best part of the fandom; the primal instincts; the surge of adrenaline and of course all the belly rubs.
It took quite sometime to find just the right piece to feature as the species standard for feral form. And after a long search and a few false starts with some ideas; we finally have the first feral transformation.
For the feral body we decided that it would be best to remove the wing standard sizes for Father Type and Mother Type favoring for a more natural approach. Bearing that in mind we would like to keep Mother Types with a more complex wing pattern (closer to that of a butterfly or insect being as it gives more of a feminine vibe). And for the Father Type something closer to a standard dragon but with a splash of fairy (shape and coloring).
I had a wonderful idea one day. Let’s combine some of the most loved and iconic species out there and draw on the best strengths to have a wonderful and unique species. Something with fewer restrictions than some; but with enough key elements that just looking at it you know what species it is.
Enter the Norwegian Alfheim Dragon
The backstory of creation begins with my love and admiration of dragons. I have always felt a deep connection to the mythology and creativity associated with these stunning creatures. Across all of the mythology of mankind there has always been some sort of knowledgeable serpent-like creature. Not everyone of them were symbolic of evil; not everyone of them were symbols of greed. So bias as it may be I chose to stick with the over all chaotic good nature that my favorites had.
The Species Roots
Originally I wanted to go with an augmented Dutch Angel Dragon. When I did some research on what the species was about it did not capture the feeling I wanted. The augment I wanted was to add the features of the Goodra; the form, the goo, and the loving core nature they had. So I kept the form and the goo; I pulled the face structure of the D.A.D.; mostly the horn features and the muzzle. I felt it was still missing the backstory and lacking a home. And since I still knew so little about the species I was creating I decided to go to the roots of my heritage; Norway. In Norwegian myth; Alfheim is the land of the Elves. Not much is left over in the mythology about Alfheim from the time of religious transition. Sadly many works and stories were lost. As tribute I wanted to add something I felt would have existed within Alfheim. Of course I chose to anthropomorphize it to match the furry theme of doing so. The skin is following that of the sea slugs found off the coast of Norway as well as the pallet choice in the blues. The wings come from the known connection between elves and fairies as well as resounding back to dragons typically being winged.

Sexuality Within The Species
Within this species it will be considered desirable to be a hermaphrodite. The reproduction method I have had in mind is such that it pulls normal gender to the sideline. While either gender will be possible; it will be considered a non-mating type by way of genetic abnormality. The reason being the host idea behind adding the Goodra into the species trait profile. The majority of slugs are in fact hermaphrodites . The courtship process will be based on the type of prominence both in horns and in “male” genital number. With two male “members” for the virile injection of egg fertilizer, and a singular male “member” denoting non-virile fertilizer. Those with two members will not have the ability to bear children as their body’s blood chemistry is too much geared towards the production of egg fertilizer. The “female” ideal for horns will be greater in number on the head; with eight being the highest possible; but fewer on the face. The “males” will have no more than four horns to adorn their heads and no fewer than two. Both genders will have breasts; interestingly enough both the mother and father types in this species will be capable of producing a nutrient fluid from their breasts; much like the fabled Hyst glands of the Argonians from Skyrim. When it comes to actual breast size; it will be up to the individuals genetics to their size and potency; the individual will be able to at will release it as a aphrodisiac or nutrient from their breasts. Their horns, barbs, and goo can be either an aphrodisiac or a toxin. The toxin will follow that of the stunning type most predominate within the region of their diet. As most slugs are able to store poisons they ingest and use it as a defense at will. Births are live and pregnancy will last 15-20 weeks. Offspring typically are single or twin; favoring the fathers skin pattern and the mothers figure. Ageing in this species takes about 16 years to develop into a full adult. Puberty in this species involves a glossy sheen covering the wings and finishing with a skin molt causing a shimmer sealed into their skin. The females go into heat on a seasonal cycle in the mid to late spring for a period of 3 days; leaving the rest of the year for nesting and courtship. Full adulthood and sexual peek tends to be noted by their goo developing multiple colors and greater deal of control over which colors their goo becomes. Although it is possible to remain clear or even nonexistent; such instances are rare. Infertility age for this species is usually around 90 years of age for both sexes. Old age sets in at around 120; most will not live past 150 years of age. As they age their wings slowly lose their luminescence and their goo becomes darker or hardened.
The Look
Social Tendencies
The males of the species tend to be reclusive towards other males; with the exception of mating season and the species accepted male-male pairings. The females tend to be social driven and caring in their nature. It is considered an extreme social taboo to mock others both within and outside of the species for their personal taste. However arguing; where it comes to knowledge, idea concepts, and justice; is considered a favored sport among both sexes. These arguments get heated often but rarely lead to physical violence as knowledge is considered the most desired species trait.
Religion is considered by the whole to be a non-issue. It is not a topic that would be considered socially acceptable to address as there would be no way to argue the point of any side and make progress. The most that comes out of this area of the species is the fact that the possibility exists and it is best left up to the talents of artists to express such feelings; as the general consensus is such that no thing so immense could ever be written down with letters nor spoke aloud with absolute truth with words. Instead it remains the realm of the inspired and holds no more following than the feelings of inspiration that each individual takes from any piece.
